Frank Russo Master Class

Maryland-based jazz drummer, Frank Russo, will be teaching a drum set master class. This hour-long event will be accessible to all ages and can be enjoyed by musicians and non-musicians alike. For tickets, contact jake@charmcitymusicschool.com

Raised in the NYC area, Frank Russo was steeped in a rich musical heritage and carries on the legacy of a musical family. He is an in-demand performer, recording artist, and educator. As an artist/educator he has performed clinics at music festivals & universities around the globe and currently teaches at Anne Arundel Community College. He has previously taught at Towson University (nineteen years), Shepherd University, and Rowan University. Frank completed a distinguished career with the prestigious Naval Academy Band where he performed in and led several dynamic ensembles.

An incredibly adaptable musician, a partial list of his performances testifies to his diverse talent. Frank has performed with Wessell Anderson, Andrea Brachfeld, The Coasters, Jeff Coffin, Hal Crook, George Garzone, Drew Gress, Tim Hagans, Jimmy Haslip, Conrad Herwig, Ethan Iverson, Frankie Lane, Mundell Lowe, Wynton Marsalis, Donny McCaslin, Ali Ryerson, Bobby Shew, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Frankie Valli, Bill Watrous, among others, and is a member of the Unified Jazz Ensemble as well as co-leads the SR4tet with Amy Shook. Highlights of his performances include Jazz Festivals in the US, Canada, Asia, Europe, etc.  Frank is a Summit Records Recording Artist whose recordings have gained national recognition and praise. Frank proudly endorses and performs with Baltimore Drums crafted by Keith Larsen, Sabian Cymbals, and Vic Firth American jazz sticks & brushes.
